Goldsmiths in the Forest

Goldsmiths in the Forest is a Couples Only Bed and Breakfast Retreat, where we do all the cooking for you...there are no guest cooking facilities because you simply won't need them.

• A Romantic Couples retreat, a space to relax with bubbles on the deck or a twilight spa.
• A place for all seasons with nearby Lakes Entrance and 90 mile beach to sail, swim and fish for summer.
• A wood fire for winter evenings, after a day out cycling, walking or exploring.

Indulgence

This Bed and Breakfast offering is our signature experience, and all house guests get to enjoy our own unique Australian version of the traditional English B & B which includes overnight in one of our beautiful guestrooms, a delicious afternoon welcome tea on arrival and a fully cooked breakfast in the morning.

We thrive on being the perfect hosts and one of us being a chef, we thoroughly enjoy preparing the delicacies of home baked cakes and master chef inspired meals for you. The inclusion of a San Marino espresso machine, also ensures you that for coffee lovers, there is a coffee on offer all day. We also boast a fine selection of teas from black, and herbal to fruit combinations. 

Dinners - Optional extras

Our dinners are legendary and for those who have included dinner as part of their package, we delight in presenting a 2 course or 3 course evening meal of fresh, local seasonal ingredients. 

 - 2 course dinner: $65 / person
- 3 course dinner: $80 / person

** Should you book a meal package, we ask that you call us to provide any dietary requirements so that we can prepare the best possible food experience for you.

Goldsmiths in the Forest also welcomes outside visitors to book a dinner and will accommodate groups of between 6 - 10 guests. Please call us to arrange.

The Accommodation
There are 4 guestrooms each with their own queen bed and ensuite. 
For singles, we do offer a singles rate so please make an enquiry prior to booking.

Our Lyrebirds

Watch out for our glorious selection of native birds as you sit forest side on the relaxing deck. If you are fortunate on your visit you are sure to get a glimpse of the Superb Lyrebird - they do frequent the East Gippsland forest, and visit the property's pond below the deck on most evenings. 

Over 100 species of birds also share this amazing habitat and live and feed throughout the covenanted property on the native plants in the garden around the B&B accommodation.

Walking in nature

Goldsmith's in the Forest Retreat is a unique destination set on 28 hectares of covenanted forest, a nature lovers dream, great for bird photographers. For all bookings we offer a guided walk through our beautiful surrounds and foliage to discover the delights of our nationally listed forest. Take our guided walk to explore the scents, sounds, textures and flavours of the Australian bush. 

Also, sample bush foods on the plant then later on the plate for your evening meal.
