Tara House Bed & Breakfast

Tara House has 3 guest bedrooms; The Lighthouse Room, The Ballerina Room, & the Master Suite all beautifully themed and decorated by the owner. The Dining room and Lounge room are shared spaces for house guests to relax and feel at home in. Tara House is a pet friendly property.

A complimentary self serve continental breakfast is provided in the Dining Room; selection of cereals, bread (for toast), stewed fruits, jams, tea and coffee. In the evenings, complimentary port and chocolates are available in the Dining Room. 

The Lounge is for house guests to use up to 12 midnight, with an indoor fireplace, television, radio, upright wooden piano and table space, as well as mannequins in costume and other curios on display.

One of the beautiful features of this historical home are the gardens and verandahs and we encourage you to view them. It is also a lovely experience to have breakfast out on the verandah so please let us know if you would like to do this when you arrive. 

Other Facilities - On Request

The house has a main kitchen, and laundry that can be used by house guests ONLY on request. In normal circumstances guests will not have access to the staff quarters, kitchen or laundry so prior arrangements are a must.

Pet Friendly

House trained pets are welcome, however, pets are not permitted on the furniture thank you. If this is not adhered too and additional cleaning is required, fees may apply. We also request that pet owners pick up the pet waste from the area around the house.

Privacy & Noise

Please note that the staff quarters are adjacent to the guest quarters at Tara House so guests and staff need to be respectful of sound transference. It is respectfully requested that there is no noise from televisions, computers, radios, musical instruments and other devices between the hours of 12 midnight and 8am.
